| This jersey displays excellent game use. Numerous board burns and stick marks are visible on both arms. The jersey displays good pilling, an indicator that Malone worked some hard shifts for the Penguins in this jersey. The hard-working forward collected some dark blue advertising paint on the front hem, grinding along the boards of old Mellon Arena, which gave way to Consol Energy Center after the 2009-10 NHL season.
