Brian Leetch wore this special blue jersey with "NEW YORK" across the front while playing for the New York Rangers during a 5-4 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on October 7, 2001 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.

This is one of three jerseys worn in the game. This jersey is video-matched to multiple stills from the second period of the game via loose threading on the left side of the "Y" as well as the bottom left of the "O."

Leetch scored the game-winning goal at 2:45 of overtime on the emotional night (in a separate jersey), where both teams honored the victims from the attacks on September 11, 2001.

The legendary offensive defenseman spent 17 seasons with the Rangers, scoring two goals with 12 assists in 17 games as a 19-year-old in 1988-89. His resume includes two Norris Trophies and the all-important Conn Smythe in 1994 after the Rangers broke their 54-year Stanley Cup drought. The 2009 Hall of Fame inductee scored 240 goals with 741 assists in 1,129 games with the Rangers and 247 goals with 781 assists in 1,205 career NHL games.

The jersey will come with a MeiGray Letter of Authenticity and Certificate of Registration as well as two MeiGray Photographic LOAs with stills of the video-match. The jersey is autographed. MeiGray does not verify the authenticity of autographs.
