After missing 37 games during his rookie season due to injury, McDavid was a dynamo in 2016-17, scoring 30 goals and leading the league with 70 assists and 100 points, winning his first Hart Memorial and Art Ross Trophies.
After eight NHL seasons, few superlatives were left to describe McDavid. He scored over 100 points in every season in which he played 65 or more games, and also tallied over 100 points in the 56-game 2020-21 season. He still won the Art Ross Trophy in, at the time, his second- and third-least productive seasons. In 2022-23, he won his first Rocket Richard Trophy with 64 goals, led the league with a career high 89 assists, and scored 153 points while playing in every game. In his 2023-24, his ninth season, he registered a career high 100 assists to lead the NHL and won the Conn Smythe Trophy in his first Stanley Cup Final. He passed the 1,000-point mark in his 10th season.
The jersey will include an original Oilers-MGG Letter of Authenticity.
