White MegaStars Practice Jersey
Montreal Canadiens 2003-04
#6 Size: 54

This Montreal Canadiens MegaStars practice jersey comes straight from one of the most iconic events in NHL history, a pre-cursor to today's Winter Classics and Heritage Classics.

On November 22, 2003, the Edmonton Oilers Alumni defeated the Montreal Canadiens Old Timers, 2-0, in the MegaStars Game at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta. It was the game before the first-ever outdoor hockey game in NHL history, when the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Edmonton Oilers, 4-3.

A wildly exuberant ... and chilly ... crowd of 57,167 witnessed a day the NHL has never forgotten.

One day earlier, the Canadiens Old Timers hit the Commonwealth Stadium Ice for the first time in their only practice.

This jersey was worn in that practice by Russ Courtnall, who played 250 of his 1,029 career games with Montreal while scoring 82 goals and adding 113 assists for the team.

The jersey includes a MeiGray Letter of Authenticity that includes the Canadian Heritage Classic watermark.
