Ron Climie wore this orange jersey while playing for the Edmonton Oilers during the 1973-1974 World Hockey Association season. During his second season playing in the WHA, Climie led the Oilers in goals and points, scoring 38 goals and adding 36 assists for 74 points in 76 games. He led the team in even-strength goals (29), power play goals (9), and tied Jim Harrison for the team lead with seven game-winners. In the Edmonton Oilers' second season, and their first after changing the team name from the Alberta Oilers, the team finished with a 38-27-3 record. Those 79 standings points earned the franchise its first post-season berth, and the team fell in the Division Semi-Finals to the Minnesota Fighting Saints in five games. Across five seasons, Climie played in 249 games for the Ottawa Nationals, the Edmonton Oilers, and the New England Whalers. He recorded 98 goals and 106 assists for 204 career points, and added four goals in 15 career playoff games.
