Hall of Famer Phil Esposito wore this white dureen jersey while playing for the New York Rangers during the 1975-76 National Hockey League season. The jersey is photo-matched to a 1975-76 media photo. The match points include threads and stitching on the collar and a thread on the front of the left shoulder piping near the seam. The Hall of Famer wore three numbers as a Ranger. He briefly wore #5 after joining the Rangers in the historic November 1975 trade with the rival Boston Bruins that rocked the NHL. He switched to #12 for the remainder of his first season with the team. He started wearing #77 the following season and throughout the rest of his career with the Rangers. The 50th Anniversary patch was removed from the jersey, and the captain's "C" was moved back to where the 50th Anniversary patch was affixed. Esposito joined the Rangers after nine years with Boston, where he scored 459 goals with 553 assists in 625 games. He scored 29 goals with 38 assists in his first season with the Rangers. "Espo" spent his final six seasons in New York, tallying 184 goals and 220 assists in 422 games. Esposito, who broke into the NHL with the Chicago Black Hawks, ranks 11th all-time in points (1,590) and goals (717). A MeiGray Letter of Authenticity, Certificate of Registration and the matched photos will accompany this jersey.
