The sixth overall selection by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Devereaux went on to play 627 games in the NHL for the Oilers, Detroit Red Wings, Coyotes and Toronto Maple Leafs, scoring 67 goals and adding 112 assists for 179 points.
