Bindulis scored four goals with 11 assists in 34 games for the East Coast Hockey League's South Carolina Stingrays and had one assist in 12 games for the American Hockey League's Hershey Bears in 2017-18.

The Capitals won the 2018 Stanley Cup title by defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Penguins in six games, the Tampa Bay Lightning in seven games and the Vegas Golden Knights in five games to win their first Cup in franchise history after totaling 105 points (49-26-7) to win the Metropolitan Division during the 2017-18 regular season.
