The 13th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Zboril appeared in two games for the Bruins in 2018-19. He also scored four goals with 15 assists in 56 games for the AHL's Providence Bruins.

The Bruins defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in seven games, the Columbus Blue Jackets in six games and the Carolina Hurricanes in four games on their way to their third Eastern Conference title and Stanley Cup Final appearance in the 2010s. They tied for the second-highest point total in the NHL (107) with a 49-24-9 record in 2018-19, finishing only behind the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic Division.
