Doug Roberts wore this white jersey while playing for the Boston Bruins during the 1972-73 National Hockey League season..

This jersey is an exceedingly rare Stall and Dean mesh Experimental Jersey, originally worn in the final game of the 1972-73 regular season against the Montreal Canadiens and Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the New York Rangers based on photographic evidence from the Boston Globe. The jerseys also appear in photo shoots and training camp prior to the 1973-74 season. They are recognized by their lack of tie-down strings (which the Bruins' jerseys ordinarily had at the time) and their fully screen-printed elements.

The jersey shows black marks as evidence of use. The integrity of the prints on the jerseys is remarkable considering it is over 50 years old - while the screen-printed elements have some fading, there is minimal cracking and no "chunks" or "chips" taken out of the stripes, numbers or crest.

Roberts played in 45 games for the Bruins in 1972-73, scoring four goals with seven assists. In his 419-game NHL career, he scored 147 points. He also played two seasons in the WHA.
