Mathieu Perreault of the Winnipeg Jets scored his first goal of the season with this puck in a 5-4 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at MTS Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Perreault's goal came at 18:31 in the third period and sent the game to overtime, and Mark Scheifele's goal 2:41 into overtime sent the Jets home with a win.

The goal was assisted by Blake Wheeler and Patrik Laine. It was Laine's first NHL assist and second career NHL point.

Laine scored 17 goals and added 16 assists in 46 games for Tappara in 2015-16, and scored seven goals with six assists in seven games to lead Finland to the 2016 IIHF World U20 Championship Gold Medal.
