White DIFD Warm-Up Jersey (Game-Issued) - March 2, 2019 @ Boston Pride
Minnesota Whitecaps 2018-19
#16 Size: LG

DIFD (Do It For Daron) is a youth mental health initiative started by the family of Daron Richardson in conjunction with the Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health. Daron, a hockey player and daughter of former National Hockey League player and Montreal Canadiens assistant coach Luke Richardson, tragically took her own life at the age of 14 on November 13, 2010. Hockey teams at both the college and professional level have participated in DIFD fundraisers and nights dedicated to youth mental health awareness, using DIFD's "Power to the Purple" theme and purple heart symbol.

Proceeds of this jersey will benefit DIFD at The Royal.

This white Do It For Daron-themed jersey was prepared for use by Margo Lund in warm-ups prior to their March 2, 2019 contest against the Pride at Warrior Ice Arena in Boston, MA.

In a touching tribute, the players assembled for a photo at center ice in the shape of a heart during warm-ups. With home ice in the 2019 Isobel Cup Playoffs at stake, the Whitecaps defeated the Pride, 2-1, in a tightly contested game in front of a raucous sold-out crowd.

The Whitecaps' Do It For Daron jerseys feature their black, gray, white and blue crest sublimated onto a white jersey with purple stripes covered in white DIFD hearts, with sublimated names and numbers.
