Minnesota Whitecaps 2021-22
#3 Size: SM

Jonna Albers, née Curtis, wore this black jersey while playing for the Minnesota Whitecaps during the 2021-22 Premier Hockey Federation season and the 2022 Isobel Cup Playoffs. It includes the alternate captain's "A."

The Whitecaps wore their Black Set 1 / Playoffs jerseys from November 20, 2021 through the Isobel Cup Preliminary Round on March 25, 2022.

Albers wore this jersey when she scored both goals in a 2-0 shutout over the Boston Pride on November 20, 2021 at Tria Rink in Saint Paul, MN. The first goal, scored at 16:48 in the second period, was the kind of goal that typified Albers’ career. Defending against a Pride power play, she stole the puck at the defensive blueline and sprinted down the middle of the ice, splitting two defenders. Beset from both sides, she was knocked off her feet, drawing a penalty. Sliding on her stomach, Albers used the shaft of her stick to direct the puck between the goalie’s legs. The goal light went on as Albers’ momentum took her into the back of the net herself. Later, with 59 seconds left in regulation, Albers also scored an empty net goal to seal the win for the Whitecaps.

In the 2021-22 season, Albers led the Whitecaps in points (24) with nine goals and 15 assists. By the end of the 2022-23 season, she had become the third player in PHF history to reach 100 career points. Albers was the fastest player to hit the mark, reaching the milestone in her 83rd game.
