Matty Beniers wore this Blue Set 3 jersey during the third period of the Seattle Kraken's 4-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators on April 18, 2022.

Beniers gave the Kraken a happy bedtime story at the end of their inaugural season. After a second place finish at the Frozen Four with the University of Michigan - where he scored 20 goals with 23 assists in 37 games after being drafted by the Kraken, he went on to score three goals with six assists in his first 10 professional games. Impressively, he scored a point in each of his first five games and was only held without a point in one of the 10 games.

Although the Kraken could not reach the standard the expansion Vegas Golden Knights set in 2017-18, the team has clearly found a cornerstone player in Beniers.
