Baker, Taylor
Maroon Set 1- 1st PHF Goal
Montreal Force 2022-23
#4 Size: LG

Taylor Baker was wearing this Maroon Set 1 jersey when she scored her first Premier Hockey Federation goal on January 22, 2023 during the Montreal Force's 2-1 overtime victory over the Boston Pride at Centre Premier Tech in Rivière-du-Loup, QC.

Baker's goal was the first of the game, scored at 10:18 of the second period with assists from Brooke Stacey and Kim Deschenes. Only one more goal would be scored in regulation, by Boston, and the Force would take the win with a minute left in overtime.

Playing in her first professional season in North America, Baker skated in all 24 games for the Montreal Force, scoring one goal and making eight assists. She was selected for the PHF All-Star Game in her first season.

The Force established a hard-nosed team identity in its first season of existence, allowing three or fewer goals in 17 of 24 games and also serving over 200 PIMs. Despite missing the playoffs, the Force only lost back-to-back games three times all year and defeated every team in the league at least once.

The Montreal Force wore their Maroon Set 1 jerseys during their series against the Boston Pride on January 21 and 22, 2023 at Centre Premier Tech in Rivière-du-Loup, QC.

The Force's jerseys feature an eye-catching fleur-de-lis motif integrated into both the crest and striping. Its colors take inspiration from the Montreal Maroons, paying homage to hockey's history in Montreal and the province of Quebec. The "F" crest is particularly significant as well with its top point serving as an arrow pointing forward as a tribute to the momentum of women's hockey in Canada and around the world.
